We ask families to help us keep costs low by participating in fundraising during the year. Our committee of parents and leaders built $100 per scout worth of fundraising into our annual plan. By participating in fundraisers (or making a donation), our families help to keep our dues at an affordable level.
What are the options?
We sell a variety of flavors of popcorn in the Fall. We offer storefront sales opportunities, as well as take-home product and an online storefront for social media and out-of-town friends/family.
This has a 30% commission rate, so if a scout were to participate only in the popcorn fundraiser, we would ask them to sell $300 in product to support the pack.
Scout Saver cards are a Spring fundraiser containing both physical and virtual coupons.
The pack keeps 50% of the $10 sales price, so if a scout were to participate only in the Scout Saver Cards fundraiser, we would ask them to sell 20 cards to support the pack.
If a family does not want to participate in fundraising at all, they might choose to make a $100 donation to help make sure that our budget stays balanced.
Of course, a family might choose to fundraise for more than the amounts listed above. Scouts can earn prizes for participating in these fundraisers, and if we raise additional funds we can lower dues even further.
