Fundraising
We keep costs low through a combination of careful spending and fundraising. If a family chooses to participate in fundraising, future renewal costs, camping costs, and the costs to attend scout camps can be reduced or eliminated depending on how much is raised.
What are the options?
Popcorn
We sell a variety of flavors of popcorn in the Fall. We offer storefront sales opportunities, as well as take-home product and an online storefront for social media and out-of-town friends/family.
Popcorn has a 30% commission rate. To pay for an entire year of scouting, a family would need to sell $700 worth of product.
Scout Saver Cards
Scout Saver cards are a Spring fundraiser containing both physical and virtual coupons.
Scout Saver cards cost $10 and have a 50% commission rate. To pay for an entire year of scouting, a family would need to sell 41 cards.
Other Fundraising
Depending on what opportunities present themselves with our charger organization or other fundraising groups, we may have additional pack-level fundraisers as one-time events.
Of course, a family might choose to fundraise for more than the amounts listed above. Scouts can earn prizes for participating in these fundraisers, and if we raise additional funds we can lower costs even further.
